Hi mate, I quite like Biobizz Light mix. Has a good amount of perlite mixed in with very light nutrients, good enough for the first week or so if you put her straight to soil once popped. All the soils are good. The only thing you need to look out for is nutrient content. Hence why its best to go with a light mix. Coco coir is very good to... make your own mix with coco + vermiculite/perlite + gypsum. Shop mixes are good too. The most important thing about soil is drainage. Having decent light, adequate nutrients to give her what she needs snd environment all play a part. I started basic and have updated things to make it more automated and its nice to enjoy it without constantly worrying. Good luck with your grow and bare in mind autoflowers dont need as much as photoperiods in way of fertilisers. happy growing
I like Fox Farm Ocean Forest (FFOF). I soak my seeds in water for 24-36 hours then plant them in moist peat starter pellets in a fabric pot full of FFOF. I let the plant get to about the 3rd or 4th node before I start additional nutrients. The fabric pot requires you to water more frequently but it makes over watering almost impossible. I also set the fabric pot on a brick or plastic grating to keep it out of any standing water and provide some airflow to the bottom of the pot.
If you use fabric pots I use an old soldering iron or heat a nail with a lighter and burn holes every 10 cm (4") around the top. Then when you want to train the plant you have easy places to attach your ties.
i would recommend to start a diary here, first grow is like many questions... and to do agood diagnosis, you need the numbers
to see what happens like PH, EC. Lightdistance, watereings, nutrients
Hi I made some Diaries with Tutorials if you want to look
growdiaries.com/diaries/17518-cookies-for-me
short version for Automatic Plants
get a good MJ-growingsoil that is fluffy good draining and not overpowered... like Biobizz allmix/ lightmix// PlaGRON Royal Mix
or mix your own withh the reciepies you find in the Diary
let the seed germinate , and after germinating put it into the final pot with the MJ-Soilmix ( at least 11l)
moderate watering and a Rh of 75 Percent in the beginning will do the trick
look for the diaries with+Tutorials in thee Title,
ive been writing about sucessful Germination ttoo
Fox farms makes a pretty good soil, but doing your own mix is probably the best. You can find lots of instructional videos and "recipes" for cannabis mixes.
