GrowCNanswered grow question 3 years ago I go by PPFD and use numbers similar to Albeginner420: 200-300 for sprouts, about 600 for veg and 800-900 for flower. Keep in mind that those numbers are based on 16 hrs light through veg then 12 hrs for flower.
I downloaded a light meter app for my phone that gives me LUX. My light manufacturer has a conversion factor from LUX to PPFD for each of their lights. I divide LUX by the conversion factor (65 for my lights) and I get PPFD. Also, if you search for PPFD chart you'll find a chart that helps you work out how much light to provide based on how long your lights are on.
