Hi Guys - there seems to be a host of problems that occur when you use vinegar and other simple household products. Some people have been reporting bio films and sludge as a result of my reading the forums on the web I decided to go with a standardized Phosphoric acid product from Nutri + and it seems to work very well for my needs!

I wouldn't use sodium bicarb for ph up. I'd much rather use calcium, magnesium, potassium. For ph down you got a bunch of optics, ascetic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, sugars, etc.

Distilled vinegar for PH down and bicarbonate of soda for PH up. Buying marketed acid doesn't make sense when any acid will do. I hope this helps, good luck and happy growing
