High pH run-off?

Just measured my runoff--came in at pH 7.25 w/EC 1400 and ppm of 750. I'm quite confused considering I've never watered above pH 6.5 and the past few weeks I've gradually increased from 5.9 to 6.3. I have added an additional Coco top dressing w/diatomaceous earth and brocolli?

Soil will buffer its own PH quite well. your mix is 25% soil The kitty litter and DE will help keep that PH up vs lower it down. Next run I would try it without the kitty litter and see how that works out for you. Keep watering in at aorund 6.5-6.8 and let the soil manage the rest. I don't know much about broccoli lowing soil PH but if you find a horticultural sulphur at a store it can help just might be a bit late into this grow but can always try. Best Of Luck!

Yeah she'll do that from time to time especially if she I flower. When extra substrate is added and has any type of nutrients it'll mess with your runoff ph. Just try to water her 6.0 5.8 just until your runoff is proper ph. Best of luck 👍

So I know nothing about growing organically - so definitely take what I say with that in mind! But I've had the same issue several times - ALWAYS balance my ph when watering or feeding and yet the runoff goes off the charts... If you're not watering with runoff every time, nutes can get trapped inside your soil or grow medium and alter what is actually going on not caring one whit what ph you're feeding/watering with... So, for me, when that happens, it's absolutely a time to flush and take things back to "neutral" (i.e., a ph runoff between 6.0 and 6.5)... then when i add nutes again, I always cut them in half and go slowly. Now, this may not be what is called for here but your runoff seems to be saying something is amiss... I'd give it a flush and continue on.... My two cents ... 😊
