Good afternoon. How do you know if you need to water or not? Share your experiences, so I can learn a bit more about when and how to water. Thanks, everyone!

Basically stick your finger into the substrate, if the first 3-5 cm are dry, it is time to water again. Quite simple really and your finger is more accurate and much cheaper than any moisture meter on the market! And nice selection of breeder, Sweet Seeds are my favourite - just easy to grow quality genetics, and well priced too! Hope this helps,........... Organoman.

I've been using the method of sticking my finger in to see how the soil is. But also the weight of the pots. But sometimes it's not easy, some drink more than others. I'm always a bit worried about overwatering. But I'll keep doing what I've been doing. Thanks to everyone for the opinions. If anyone else wants to share their thoughts, feel free.

Your plants look healthy enough which means whatever you're doing is great. But basically in their first couple of weeks life as a seedling I will fully water the pot before planting and then just a dribble every day and keep them in a moist plastic dome, spraying daily. As they and their roots get bigger and enter the vegetave stage, their need for water drastically increases and would water 1-2 litres every 2-4 days. Only ever water once the pot feels dry or nearly dry, you can lift the pot to feel how heavy it is or isn't. And in flowering stage the same, towards the end of flower their bed for water and nutrients slows right down. Hope this helps a little

When leaf roll up like making a cigarette or a boat, she needs water. How much water to give also depends on what strain. Some Afghani Indica strains store up water very well. They can takes much water. And they can take drought.
