Unless your plant is getting a minimum of 6 hours of DIRECT sunlight on its leaves, it will not produce its best flowers.
Remember too, glass stops UV light, further reducing flower potential.
I would think this plant has another 3-4 weeks before being ready for harvest, placing it outdoors in direct sunlight would increase the flower size and quality, hugely. Leaving it on the window sill will not allow it to grow any type of thick or dense flowers. It needs 6 hours of direct light as a minimum for proper flower development, a sunny window sill where it mainly gets reflected light, is far from ideal.
