You can and some strains go dream but mostly it's not recommended. Autos just don't get the recovery time they need heading into flower. On YouTube the channel FromSeedtoStoned covered the topic really well.

Light distance and when to top?I'm using a 300W LED. What distance should I keep the lights at now that I've transplanted and the plants are doing well? I'm thinking 24" and then move up as they grow until flipping. Also, when should I top? I've read that waiting for 6-8 nodes is the right way to go.

LST/Topping for autoflowers?Growing an afghan kush auto and a skunk villain auto (both 5 gal pots) in a snug 2.5 x 2.5. Would you/should I top these?I am unsure whether to do a final topping. My thinking is that I don’t want to have shoots growing inward but sideways so I’d had to top at the points I marked.
