Looks like it's doing what it's supposed to be doing. I'm not a auto grower so I can't say to the timing, but it looks the rite size to be topping I believe. From what I understand topping is frowned upon with autos because it stunts the plant for a time and reduces the veg time as it auto flowers regardless of how big it is. So if you topped it and it didn't break a sweat, I think your good to go. As for the lower branches growing up faster it's because they are older and more developed and this is actually exactly what you want so you get as many tips to the top as possible. The very top one's will now grow along side the lower ones and this gives you more bud sites at the top where the light is best. Hope this helps, cheers 💨

Looks fine the lower branches will grow quickly at the minute and then the tops will shoot up

Hello there ! Very first grow here. I am wonderig if I fucked up the topping (time wise especially). I'm willing to take risks as I have 4 plants growing atm and even though it is (imo wisely) advised to not perform topping, I just do not care. I'm not smoking pot anymore, this is just a personnal challenge and a bonatical curiosity (and maybe a birthday gift) so I'm just experiencing things. I'm wondering why the two branches below topping (red sections) didnt take over while the two ones under (blue sections) just grew like crazy. I expected the ones below the topping location (yellow section) to grow, not the one underneath. Weirdly enough the plant did not seem to experience any stunt. Maybe this is just a common thing that "everything under light" will thrive I'm not sure. Spec : This is an unkown auto seed and the plan is pretty much 3 weeks old. Stem is longer that is seems, as I added soil. Obviously I'm not a native english speaker, pardon my english. Thank you, welcoming community ! :)
