Hi all! I’m wondering when will be good to switch to flower? I’m at start of week 5 & I topped them 1 week ago. Did a small amount of defoliation today to get rid of some yellow leaves that were laying on the soil. Do they look almost ready? Or wait due to topping & defoliation?

Hey! So first things first.. Before switching to flower you need to make sure your plants will fit in your grow space without going into the lights and getting light burn. Plants normally double or triple in size when they're put into 12/12.. So lets say the tallest they can grow is 1,5 meters tall then I suggest switching them around 50-60cm so they don't get too tall. Wonder pie is a Indica sativa hybrid so she might not stretch that much but you never know.. Now if you don't have a height limit then whenever you see that she has a nice structure and plenty future bud sites to flower. So if you’ve got space it’s really but to you when to switch.. They look healthy after the topping and defoliation. Maybe wait a bit more. Hope this helped, any questions just let me know. @ me or DM. Good luck and happy growing!

Just wanted to drop a quick thank you to you all for such helpful replies.. Im defo gonna wait another week or two. In response to @Mr_Motalovah Luckily I’ve chosen a low height strain in Nirvana Papaya, so far the girls have spread really nicely without much height growth in comparison to other strains.. I’m defo tight for space height wise but really wanna maximise my yield as much as poss.. Thanks again everyone! 🙏🏼🍃🍁❤️

I would wait at least a week due to the stress and the age of the plant. Technically speaking, you can go 12/12 any time, even from birth... for optimal yield, wait at least a week. Good luck! Looks good

In optimal conditions, plants should be kept in their vegetative stage for approximately 60 days. This time period should give the plant the opportunity to maximize yield and acclimatize to growing conditions. Ideally, you want the plants to finish at approximately 24 to 36 inches tall, so you will induce flowering when plants are approximately 12 to 18 inches tall. So if your plants are least an ft tall go ahead and start the switch. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.
