As long as you control your temperatures and humidity your plants should do OK upstairs. I have made the move a couple times with no problem. I do the move during the light cycle so I do not disturb the dark period. Personally though I would stay in the basement because moving is such a PITA. In your case I would set up for the maximum height you can provide in the basement and just deal with it. Prune, train and use lighting to help keep your plants to a manageable height.

You should be fine. Your growing condition is going to change dramatically from going from a basement. I would imagine the basement makes your RH slightly higher then in a upstairs room.

Nah, you'll be good. Even if you accidentally beat them up while moving them, they'll recover in no time.

I had to wait to week 12 to change lights to 12 x 12, was not sure of gender until lab confirmed. My choice is to cut the extension poles down 1.5 inches and remove part of my drop ceiling for the tent to remain in the basement. Rafters are at 7' 5.5" and with extension tent will be 7' 7". I can move entire tent upstairs into a open bedroom, but the air upstairs feels totally different than in the basement. Either way is a pain, but I got to late of a start on LST and I think its to late for HST Super cropping. Sorry for long explanation, I learned some good lessons on this 1st grow though.
