White vinegar on plants

Ladysgrow2
Ladysgrow2started grow question 3 years ago
I used 1/3 of a spray bottle of white vinegar and water to kill what I assume is an aphid infestation in my soil ( neem wasn’t working) extremely tiny white bugs. I poured it around the roots. Did I just kill my plants?

As The8th said - I'd go for nematodes straiight away, theyd be with you before the weekend but do take a few days to kick into action, should be cleared up by next weekend, make sure you buy the right species, I had fungus gnats that nematodes got rid of in a few days. You could try hydrogen peroxide root drench (opinions vary regarding % solution) but vinegar is very acidic so best to check your soil pH quick to make sure you havent just gone scorched earth on your plants and if its way too low get it flushed.

Vinegar is pretty acidic. I would water with 7.0 water a couple times to rinse it out. Find out exactly what's in your soil. Somethings aren't damaging and can be killed just by underwatering for a few days. That's normally in coco. For root aphids you'll need to bomb the soil with an insecticide. I've heard of people trying nematodes also. You can probably buy em online.
