Taking cuttings day 48 flower?

Has anyone taken cuts 48 days or around that into flower with any success? I have a plant I want to keep I wonder if anyone has done this with success? I trim up from the bottom so any potential cutting will have a small bud on it.

I have done this a few times. It will take 2-3 months sometimes till the vegetive growth comes back.

Very hard to get them to revert when in flower, but not impossible, but it will take ages. Far easier to start with fresh seeds of that particular strain. Next time take your cuttings before flowering starts and you will not have any dramas or potential issues.

Hello. yes. You can take a cutting of a plant you want to save. I have taken a clipping from a 7week flowering plant. Most people take cuttings from plants before going into flowering. It's best to keep the cutting in veg at all times. That's what mothers are. You can only bring a plant back 3 or 4 times from flowering before you start losing strength. The plant will grow the same but will be weaker in strength the more times you bring it back from flowering. The plant goes into a weird growing phase when going from flowering to veg. You will get weird/ mutated looking leaves. But after a month or so the plant will start putting out normal leaves. Please take more than one clipping. Chuck.

@aquemini thanks for the advice👍 I just had a google and seen some people do it but it takes a good month or more for regular looking growth to start. I am definitely going to give it a go and take 5-6 cuts and see what happens. Not really bothered how long this process takes as long as I save the strain

Ok, look at it this way, taking the smallest non viable branch doesn't hurt as an experimental test run. Go for it, if it works its only a bonus. I wouldn't re-veg if your cycle is ready to go. It's not worth it if you're already up and running. That's just a last case save a plant to keep her scenario.

Problem is with re vegging the whole plant is it’s in a nft table with 7 other plants and I need to harvest all of them as I have cuts ready to go back into that chamber. If I re veg the whole plant it will stop me from flowering anything else for way too long in that tent. I have heard of people taking cuts late in flower but not this late

Most people take clones 2-3 weeks into flowering. I don't know if you'd get it to root but there's always a chance. You could always harvest the bud, and keep the plant growing. It will take awhile to get it back into veg and it's hard to harvest all the bud without doing damage to the plant. But you can do this 3 times before the plant becomes non viable of producing quality buds. Your talking about monster cropping. Google Monster crop clone and do some research.
