Yes both lights can be used and many use different types like this to take advantage of the pros of different type lights. The Mars has a detachable driver you can move out of tent if needed for temp control. Stay 83 degrees F or slightly lower. Anything higher is too warm. I have experience was with the ts series. If you can control the heat a d not light burn the plants yes. More light always gives you a bigger harvest. Purple lights are not the best but its better then not adding anything
