Will pruning plants or getting rid of some plants reduce humidity levels??

Hello. I CANNOT get my humidity levels down below 70. I have a good extractor. Running a passive system. I cannot get an input fan or dehumidifier, noise! I'm now considering taking some leaves off but i don't know which ones to take off! Or even maybe getting rid of some plants?

Defoliation, and having less plants will reduce your RH in the grow room. When I have my vegetation tent full it will stay at 60% RH no matter what. But when I remove 1 to place in my dark room my humidity drops to 50% If I move a second one it will drop to 40%. So defoliation wont really help lower RH but it helps get light exposure to blocked nodes and gives you better air circulation to pull humidity out of the room if you have an exhaust. Also a small fan blowing in the door at the bottom of the tent for a few minutes will clear humidity out pretty quickly if your willing to do that a few times a day.

Lollipopping the lower and inner branches is where I would be starting, concentrating on making a more even canopy. Fans under your plants aimed at your extractor fan is a good possibility. Watering only when necessary is also helpful. Apart from these things, air exchange is vital, as you know. Having your dark period during the hottest part of the day would also be helpful.

Yeah, defoliation can help with humidity levels. A small fan at the bottom of your grow space blowing towards the extraction point could help as well. Humidity in your lung room matters too, if its in the mid to high 60s going into the tent, doing all this wont help much. Good luck with the rest of your grow!
