Fresh lemon juice about teaspoon to 2L. Will lower by 1 point. pH up. Can use touch (5ml to 2l) of clorox bleach or another alkaline household product. Will raise around 1 point.

Hello Since youre a soil grower it may be good to buy some dolomite lime...i know the finance is stretched but it is a natural buffer good for keeping an optimal soil ph and raising from a low acidic ph higher. But to adjust the water you can use lemon juice(anything acidic in a way) vinegar which are both very acidic and will lower the ph from 8 to the 6 range etc. Baking soda, or your sulfates will raise the ph epsom salt(magnesium sulphate) soda for water adjustments and epsom for making soil buffers. When using these organic methods...add a little, check ph, then add a little more. Also keep a written note of how much you add to reference later to save yourself a lot of time.✌️ Good luck.

Hi mate, like yourself I grow on a budget. I will eventually buy high end materials to see if there is any benefit. However for now I'm using white wine vinegar for ph down ( or you can use distilled vinegar) and just the water for ph up. My water out the tap is around ph9 so I just add more to bring it up. I use soil amendments rather than liquid nutrients. I suppose that helps the process. No mixing of water and nutes. Hope this helps. ✌️

white, distilled vinigar does well for ph-down - nice mild acid and readily available and cheap. baking powder? soda? i get them backward. sodium bicarbonate can work, but adds Na+. i'd look for a better base for ph-up. kill 2 birds one stone -- can use a ph-down like slufuric acid and it provides some nutrients too. i'm sure there are base-equivalents, but my experience is onyl ph-down due to my tap water being ~8.2-8.4pH.
