Which is your leading concern, heat or humidity?

If I reduce humidity, heat goes up in the 'lung room.' If I do upper 57-61%, temp is ~80-83f. If I drop it to 50% room is @85f. Where should my focus be? Just starting to flower. Do I want to focus on dropping RH or focus on Temp below 85f and the RH is @60%.

Heat forever.heat is very important when growing indoors, especially in a tent. Ive experienced great grows with very low himidity(%30) but i had plant that were affected by heat towards the end, resulted influffy buds with less resin production. In case of extreme heat, try to increase humidity so that plants can breath.ideal temps with low humidity will less likely cause any problem but high temps will always be a potential threat. Watch the temps closely. Some equatorial sativas like humidity but almost every of them hates heat.indoor growing is much different than outdoors.there are underground water flow outdoors, there is wind and CO2 which makes the plants handle the heat but indoors, its very critical

ChitownCannaChica; That's sort of why I've been eyeballing with concern right now I'm barely in flower and honestly a month down the line things will start to cool outside so humidity & temps will drop (unless the weather continues to be weird)...and I'm hoping my airflow extensive enough to help stop some issues with rot, etc. The LEDs while warm are totally manageable with the exhaust venting, but if I try to drop the humidity I end up with temperatures outside the grow tent in the low 80's which means mid to high 80's in the room. When lights go out it drops pretty quickly down to the mid 70f's or below but of course the RH rises then. I've figured out that if I have the box-fan setup to go on at lights out (along with the two 6" fans that are always on the plants) and the humidity triggered T-6 things are pretty OK for airflow. Again, if the end of flower is a month away, That's mid to end of september for me in the northern Northeast and things usually ratchet downwards by then. Ezzjaygrows; Definitely have been studying VPD charts in the past week or so, unfortunately there's a number of them out there that seem to provide contradictory information. In some charts I'm solid green with 60% and 80-82f others that looks outside the prime range. HighRoller909; I don't think I've gotten to the point of 'extreme' hot yet. It's actually been warmer outside than inside this season...lots of 90+ days and 80% or more humidity (glad I'm an indoor grower). The exterior temperature does indirectly affect what I get inside though...after a day or so of heat even our basement level starts to balance up a bit and the humidity increases. Mr. Rockwool; First time grow for me with the first time I've bought seeds, so I don't have much knowledge of the strains' origins. I'm sure that will come with time. Right now my first grow is a fully experimental thing of me just trying to get a handle on all the details along the way.

If you are just starting to flower, humidity is not a huge concern. LED lights should have temps at 79-82 degrees. So temps look on point. As long as you have good air flow, good to go. However, later in flower—- those humidity numbers have to drop, or you will get mold/bud rot. Hopefully as the weeks go by, the environment will cooperate. Good luck! ✌️🏻💚💨🌿

All depends on the strains you are running. Some strains like the warmer flower temps others not so much. So you should know the lineage of your genetics. I would just make sure you have good airflow in the space. Best of luck with your issue.

I’d stick with low 80s and 60%.. as long as you’re moving air in there. Look up VPD charts.. you don’t need to be super low with humidity - even in flower

Addendum: Not going to add AC to the situation. The grow room is 60x32x 80" tall, have AC Infinity Cloudline T6 w/Terrabloom filter, 2 fans always on the 4 plants, + an additional box fan in the room that I can trigger remotely. Two dehumidifiers on that level of our house; One set @45% and the other set at 50% but doing so does drive the temperature up to 85f degrees in the tent. If I adjust the dehumidity sitch to hit at ~60 in the tent, the temps are stable in the 80-83 range in the tent. Which is better and worth more focus? Lower temps @ low 80's and 60% or lower humidity at ~50% but temps at 85/86?
