I am now 3 weeks in to vegetation. At what point can I start removing the leaves that are 1)not getting a lot of light because of the internodes above, and 2) blocking light to internodes under them?
Would be better to leave sun leaves to build as much photosynthesis as possible. Just tuck all the fan leaves under the branches that shooting out from the nodes. You will have to do it twice a day but once the branches get taller than the leaves you won't have you. Good growing
Lots of philosophy on this. I’m not a huge fan of removing fan leaves until 2 weeks prior to flip— but I’m also not a fan of LST either—- I only remove the 2 lowers and two upper fans at this stage—- they are your solar panels. All growth comes from them—- hence why I don’t really remove until later.
Remove one only blocking to allow deeper light. but you can LST an get same great results just fold the plant over an start training to get beat results train every day or every other day. All my plants are lst take a look at the dairy’s if need some ideas how to go about. Happy growing
