Dark shiny waxy leaves?

I have grown for about 3 years.its my first time dealing a bag seed that's completely beautiful.Seems to be growing like a sativa but with super dark leaves that are sturdy and waxy/super shiny. Also has purp stems. what causes this or is it a trait in certain strains?. Gr is 85°

Hey mate, purple stems can be a genetic trait. They can also be due to stress, I noticed mine turn purple when I give them too much light. Check on them an hour before lights out, if they are still like this you can rule that out. As the drop their leaves when theyve had enough. They are looking pretty dark, this can be a sign of a little to much Nitrogen. I can see on one leaf there is a little but of discoloration which seems to be inline with a calcium deficiency. This could be due to a little too much nitrogen. Hope this helps 🙂

I had this issue on my sunset sherbet I cut back on the calmag decreased the nitrogen in feed and also increased the pk ratio seemed to work for them

Usually dark shiny waxy leaves mean you have been feeding to much nitrogen when it's been in veg or while it's be transitioning into flower.
