Growing autos in soil and the ppm and ec are low so I can't figure out why I'm getting nutrient lock so early.the bottom of the fabric pots was filled with 1/3 living soil then the rest of the way with fox farm ocean farm potting soil.Currently on cal-Mag once I saw this.

Makes sense I was leaning in that direction but this is only my second set of plants so I'm still learning and apparently I just learned not to layer soil 😄 any thoughts on how to fix it.

I can't see too much wrong with your plant, but it certainly does not have a cal/mag problem. When growing in pots, it is a bad idea to have different layers of different soil types and this is what may be causing the reaction with your plant as it was growing in one type of soil then the roots have made it to the second layer and this can cause an imbalance in nutrient up take, as it is a bit like changing the plants diet half way through its development. That is, it was growing in Fox Farm and now it has hit the "living soil", this affects the plants' nutrient up take differently. Whenever growing in pots, or anywhere really, all soil should be thoroughly mixed into one base type, just like a cake, into one even, well combined and well blended soil mix that provides a stable environment for the plant and its roots. Cheers, Organoman.
