GrowCNanswered grow question 3 years ago I believe healthy plants produce the biggest buds they are genetically capable of. Anything like insufficient lighting, poor nutrition, small pot, disease, over watering... can stunt the plant to some extent. In nature plants get full, real sun and have mother Earth to send roots as far as they want. So, when growing indoors I like to use bigger pots and give my plants more room in the tent so they can grow a large root mass. The extra room insures better light to the sides of the plant and better airflow through and to the bottom part of the plant. I am not a believer of the specialized bloom enhancers and fancy/expensive fertilizers. I grow in soil and my plants get a very small dose of organic nutrients with each watering instead of a "hit" once or twice a week. Just nice and consistent. I won't win an award for record size bud or yield but my plants consistently produce large buds and yield near the top of the plant's potential which isn't bad for a simple soil grow.
