Trichomes: so my sugar leaves are showing a bunch of Amber's. Buds are almost 100% cloudy. I'm only at like 55 days from germination. I'd love to let the buds fatten up as much as I can. My question is "How fast do the Trichomes go from cloudy to amber?" Close to harvest??

hey there, trichomes take about 2 weeks to go from clear to cloudy, but from cloudy to amber is a question of the degradation of the outer membrane of the trichome , so that can happen quickly even before it's milky or in the right conditions never happen at all . Main determinants are air flow, heat, contact, and humidity . the moment there are no more clear trichomes that's when you're at maximum potency in terms of THC. Hope this helps ! 🚀

If it is the trichomes on the buds, I would say from milky to amber about 10-14 days :-) enjoy the delicious harvest 😍😍😍🙏🏻🙏🏻🌱🍀 you did very well 😎👍

Going to Second @Souljasam… that's crazy amounts of Defoliation.. Your buds are gonna be light and airy, I guess on the upside you sure won't have a lot to chop come harvest time.

Don't go based on the trichs on the sugar leaves. They mature up to 4 weeks sooner than the buds themself. It's hard to say the rate at which trichs go amber and id assume every plant does so at a different rate. So just keep checking the buds daily and harvest once you reach the % of amber trichs you are shooting for. I personally go for about 10% amber for a nice balanced high. Deff don't harvest too early as the last week or so is when the buds put on the most weight. I would say you probably have at least 10 days left to go. I must also ask, why did you take off all the fan leaves? It's generally not a great idea to completely remove those until you harvest because the plant uses them to create energy to build the buds. If you need any more help or have any questions feel free to dm me! Good luck with the harvest!

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Trichs change from cloudy to amber at about 10% increase each week (pending on strains-indica 4-7?, sativa 7-10days?)..not 100% sure bout accuracy but averages out for me like this.. She looks beautiful n healthy tho so she's not far of flushing anyways.. U want to check trichs on actual flower like u av been n if u want a nice clearer high start flushing now.. If u want a bit more heavy stone leave her another 7-10days then flush.. She'll still fatten up during flushing and will hopefully give u a great smoke.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀
