Should I use CO2?

Scooby_Doo

CO2. Is it needed? I've got a CO2 bag, that I can pierce holes in and hang in my grow tent. This is my first ever grow. My aim is not, at this stage, to get the biggest buds. Simply to get ANY buds :) Should I use the CO2 on this initial grow? Will it make a difference?

Yeah like others have said you need the proper PPM in your space with heavy hitting lights to benefit from the added CO2. Though honestly if you already have the CO2 bag hang it up for sure. It’s not hurting anyone and it’s better than nothing so why not hang it up? But just know that unless you’re enclosed and running 1200 PPM of CO2 there really isn’t much benefit to it. Honestly on first grow there’s a lot gonna be happening. I would focus on getting the fundamentals down before really starting to add an other factor like CO2 to the grow. Anyway good luck with your grow 🤙

No. You have to seal off your grow area so no CO2 gets out. Also you need enough light to benefit from it. If you add CO2 and don't have enough light you will get zero difference. You will also need a co2 meter to maintain the CO2 level of 1,200 to 2,000 ppm to get any benefit. Currently the air you breathe is approx 412 ppm.

CO2 is really only needed in closed system. Like others stated, be careful and monitor it or could make you sick.

Unless you are growing in a "sealed system", any CO2 you introduce will be sucked out by your fan long before your plants have any chance of benefitting noticeably from it. You really don't need it to achieve a pleasing result, concentrate on training and nutrition. Cheers, Organoman.

It's not necessary, your plant will thrive anyway. It does increase your yield though. Just be careful and ventilate your living area

Co2 is very beneficial to the cannabis plant. It makes the plant healthier and increases yield so yes I would definitely use it.

You really don't need any extra c02 unless your running very powerful lighting. As long as you have a fresh air intake, I wouldn't worry about it. I use very powerful lighting with good fresh air and I grow massive big hard buds, with no c02 added.
