Increase light hours autoflower

TerrazasBrew
TerrazasBrewstarted grow question 3 years ago
My autoflowers are 6 weeks old and showing flowering signs. Can I increase the number of light hours from 17hrs to 20/22/24hrs? Does it cause light stress and can trigger vegetation or make it hermaphrodite?

Auto flowers don't care, you can change the light cycle every day. Randomly expose them to light to check on them or show a buddy. It is recommended to give them at least 4h of uninterrupted darkness. Lights out is recovery time and helps a plant grow big fat juicy buds. Happy Growing.

Autos grow more with more like u can grow them under a light there whole life cycle but conditions must be perfect to grow 24/7 under a light but I would stick with 18 that seems to work best for everyone

Yes, you can do it. No, I wouldn’t tho. Maybe bump it up to 18.. or 20 max (in my opinion). Plants need rest man. I ran all my autos at 18 thru the entire cycle. It will not trigger re-vegetation, that’s not possible with proper autoflower genetics. Causing herm? Doubt it. But you never know. I would have run 20/4 or 24/0 early in Veg if you’re gonna do it. I personally Do not like the idea of running veg at a lower light cycle than in flower.. goes against natural light cycles.
