Carbon fan too loud on lowest setting

Hi im having similar problems with my intake fan I have a twin fan controller but still quite noisy so doubt that help much however I wouldn't grow without a fan controller has gets the perfect temperature control

Hi guys I've not been able to verify my email for some reason but wanted to thank you for input. I have come across the silencers online along with the fan controllers. I'll make up my mind in the coming days which of the two to get, worst case a silencer and a controller. Once I've gotten ventilation sorted I'm good to go, I hope or il most likely be seeking advice on here :). Thanks again to everyone who commented.

U can buy a silencer that u fit onto it for about 50£

You can build a box to put the fan in, hang it in the box on rubber bands and put an old blanket in there for noise reduction. This will greatly reduce the noise, it works great!

Hello fan controller will just reduce the speed not the noise . for the noise there is insonorize sheath and you can add a insonorize box for your extraction too. There is silencer also. Good luck.

Controllers can only control the speed of the fan. A noisy fan is always going to be a noisy fan but running it slower does quiet them a bit but you are loosing airflow I use AC Infinity Cloudline fans and they are super quiet. In North America they are available under the AC Infinity brand name but in Europe I think they are imported by Mars Hydro and you can find them on the Mars Hydro EU website under the "grow kits" tab.

You could add a second carbon filter to your setup. There will be less noise but, a silent in-line fan would be the best option

I use smart controller inline 4 inch fans one from Mars and one from spider farmer. Same fan different colored. Anyway they are great for having a max high temp, and humidity. Noise wise I can hear them when in same room most levels. Can only hear it if it's running max power in next room. I also have 4 grow areas going and 2 are inlines 2 are bathroom exhaust fans on timers for on and off. Hopefully this helps and happy growing 🌱

I use an AC Infinity T6. I cannot hear it run unless it's on high power and even then I can't hear it in another room.
