what to do with ventilation. They say autoflowers dont depend so much on a light cycle, so could i leave the closet door open? not too worried about smell in an apartment (1st of 2 floors, duplex style) so im a bit wary of any alterations of the apartment itself. bite the bullet

I grow in a tent and keep it open at least 4 hours a day. Just to get the humidity and heat out. So leaving the door open isn't such a big deal with autos. If you do want to keep it contained; get a tapestry to hang over the doorway. If you want ventilation take the door off it hinges hang a 2 tarps over the doorway overlapping. Cut a hole in one of the flaps for ac ducting. Then just get a inline fan and a carbon filter. Cheapest way to make a closed environment.

I grow autos in a tent and when the humidity or the heat gets too much inside the tent (I don't have extractors or anything like that - only a fan), I unzip the damned tent! Yes, of course you can open the closet door! And no, your autos are not going to mind it at all... your yield might be SLIGHTLY less for the light escaping but that's better than the alternative ... That being said, perhaps all you need to do is to put a small fan in there... just get the air flowing around the plant? Unless you have issues of heat/humidity in there, that is what I would do. Good luck!

good fan, which creates negative pressure inside of tent, they start to stink, believe me, if you don't care, people will smell. for two plants 5 inch fan and carbon filter would be more than enough ...

Hi there If you can squeeze them in then why not .. you want to try and maintain 12 hours light and 12 hours dark though, Make sure there’s some sort of air circulation and if you can set one up a small carbon filter mainly in flower because she will get stinky 👍 Best of luck 🌱

You could do that when the lights are on, for sure. That's what I like to do. But, during lights out, you'll want to close the room up and have a fan or two moving air around. If your tent is in a room with a door, you can leave the tent partially open, turn the room's light off, and just close the door. As long as there isn't too much light coming from a window or something. I hope this helps.

You will need a small fan of some sort to help the plant transpire properly. Just having the door open won't be enough, there needs to be air movement of some sort, this also strengthen the plants' stems and branches so that it doesn't fall over when it flowers. Autos still need a dark/sleep period every day, 18 hours light and 6 hours dark is optimal.
