For my first harvest I took a small sample and smoked it right away and took notes. Then take another sample after each week of curing. It's fun to sneak a taste of your new product plus it's good to learn how it changes over time in cure to learn how long to cure to your liking.
I tend to over dry so I put the buds into a airtight container with a hygrometer. Then I adjust the humidity to 58-62% for curing. If they are too dry I put a piece of damp paper towel in the jar and repeat until the humidity is where I want. If the humidity is too high they go back for more drying.

They are around 8 weeks now. Showing milky trichomes on most. Some with slight clear/milky. Very few with amber...
I have decided to harvest right away..

Prioritise mature buds, vs the younguns? Bare in mind I HAVE a 85w (To my 125w in use) - It's just not mounted yet, and economically dont know if I shI have plants germ' at the same time but in different stages of life.Is it recommended to decrease to 10 hours Light (125w LED - IR/UV/Full Spectrum) JUST for the 4 plants that are ready, which'll weaken the younguns. Irregular pistil formationsHello fellow horticultural enthusiasts, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue. A student of mine has an irregularity concerning his early flowers. His pistils seem to be retracting and going orange. The dear fellow is growing in peat moss with perlite.

Early flower?Are these bud spots? If so, is my plant gonna get bigger? It is barely 3 weeks old and feels way too young and tiny to flower. Only 20 cm main stem length. Pistils started to show. There are about 5 spots like that on each plant, with the main stem having the biggest one.
