I do a hybrid trim. Just the big fan leaves and tidy the branches up a bit. Before I jar them I do a final trim.

I wet trim. I find it easier when the leaves are still standing out and easy to snip. Also, the bud can handle rougher treatment without knocking trichomes off. The downside is I keep a small jar of alcohol handy to dip my snips in to clean off the resin and your fingers can get pretty sticky as well.

if you live in a wet city I recommend wet trimming, you'll avoid bud rot (or at least try) when I dot wet trimming y cut every cola and I get rid of every sugar leave and the tips without any trichomes 19-20ºC 60-62% the first 3-4 days the I lower it to 60-58 till the buds are ready to get inside jars, I'll fill them at 70% of their capacity and leave 30% of air, inside every jar 1 temp&humidity meter and try to mantain 60-62% of humidity for the curing process and then I if the humidity goes down 55% I use a clay coin to add humidity, I boil them 45 seconds, then I put them in a papper towel till they absorb the humidity and then I let them rest 30 minutes till they get to room temperature, then I put the coins insisde till they reach 62-65% for at least for 30 minutes and then I get them out the jar and check how fast the humidity goes down to the point I want wich for me is 60~62% 19ºC I hope you find my info useful

I dry trim because I don’t like my scissors gumming up like crazy every two minutes. But I remove all the fan leaves before hanging upside down. I just have sugar leaves left to trim after drying. The other responses make sense too. But really up to personal preference.

I personally wet trim, I believe its much easier. My drying room humidity sits in the 40-50%rh range and it takes 5-7 days to dry. But yes, if you’re in the 60% plus humidity range 100% wet trim to avoid but rot

If you can control the humidity and temp of your drying environment then wet trim. or Wet trim if in high RH to avoid bud rot, Dry trim if low RH to avoid over drying. If your new to drying then I would also go with dry trim. It gives you more slack on when you should jar it. Wet trimming you can easily leave it drying to long and get weed that smells like hay.

Wet trim = nicer looking buds, dry trim= longer dry time and personally I think better taste.
