Our master grower swears by not touching or trimming the plants at all. With over 30+ years of experience he generally edges the rest of us out in yield. I personally trim some fan leaves to promote more light to reach bud sites. Others perform low stress training to effectively do the same. For one plant in a grow tent the low stress method with a net trellis for support would work great.

As you can see from the first 2 response this is a sticky subject amongst growers on what to do. I know a lot of growers that say do not do it and a lot that swear by it. I've done both and find trimming can help to increase buding locations on the plant on a most strains. There are some i found that it stressed the plant out and decreased production for awhile and some that it did nothing to. Best thing to do is see what works best for you but the one thing I can say is that if you do want to trim wait tell day 14-15 of flower before you do it. Veg stage is for FIMin, topping and LST and other techniques. Hope this helps.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Trimming can help the plant put energy elsewhere so i wud definitely recommend it.. Their are so many techniques is cannabis its worth trying them all over time n see wot works best for u.. If u want big fat buds then try lollipop techniques.. If u want a nice natural looking plant then just let her do her thing.. If ur a beginner grower i wud just let her grow naturally then wen she start flowers maybe snip/pinch off a few small stems from lower branches.. U'll get a feel for it after a few goes but dont worry.. If in doubt just ask the community.. Stay safe n gud luck 👍🍀🤞
