if you don't control humidity and temp relative to life cycle phase, i'd just stick to 40-60% range. That's a good range to avoid microbial issues.
A lower RH will increase transpiration, which will in turn increase uptake from roots. Temperature plays a role in that rate too. Warmer will increase transpiration, therefore uptake too.
i don't know what you mean by stones? weight? or, if this is about reducing RH, well you need a dehumidifier or better air exchange, but if the intake air is just as humid, that does nothing to help, obviously.
