Spots on leaves

Hi. My plant started to develop brown dots on the leaves and its edges started to burn. This started happening about a week ago. What could be the problem? I water the plant every day and my run-off is around 1000ppm. The second plant without similar problems. Thanks!

This looks like some nitrogen toxicity and nutrient burn to me. The other plant maybe eating more and able to handle it for now, but it will be getting the same issues down the road. The excess nitrogen will cause calcium to be locked out. That is a spotting on the leaves. Lower your feeds and monitor runoff of plants. it should not be to much higher then the solution going in. If it is, you have an excess of salts built up the medium and need to flush them out. Best of Luck and Happy Growing!

And to your point about feeding half dosage.. that doesn’t always matter. A recent grow of mine, because of a few factors was building up salts extremely quickly in my coco even tho I was only feeding about 1.0-1.2 EC (5-600PPM) it would build up salts within 5 days that it was having run off of 5.0 EC (2500 PPM) It was insane but it was due to several factors I won’t go into at this point.

It looks like you got N toxicity going and excess N is gonna cause lock out of calcium..

1000 ppm runoff is to high as mOuse says. If you want a proper ph ec schedule for your next grow, look to my M.O.A.B dairy. It's a soilless grow., only difference from coco to peat moss is coco needs some cal/mg and more frequent waterings. For proper care of your soilless grows you really need an ec ph reader.
