Time to flip to 12/12?

The great thing about photos is that you can control when they go into flower, giving you plenty of time to train and defoliate without worry. It's also good that you've grown an auto, so you know what to expect from the stretch etc. So depending wherever its indica /sativa it will stretch 2x/3x in size during the first few weeks of switching to 12/12. Bearing this in mind are you happy with the shape and size of your plant and how many budsites you have. I couldn't find a diary linked to this question. But these are the things I access before making that 12/12 decision 👍🌱

I switch depending on how large I want the plant to get. I generally figure the plant will double in size during the stretch. So, look at the size of your plants and the size of your grow area and let that say when to flip. I most often use a 36" x 36" (90cm x 90cm) grow tent. If growing four photo period plants I might flip at 4-6 weeks. If growing only one plant in the same space I will veg much longer, aiming to fill the tent when the plant is mature.

If your space can accommodate a 3 foot tall plant then you can flip. I don't know the strain so 3 foot is a guess at 3x stretch. I do not defoliate unless needed.
