Growing in fox farm happy frog. I ph my water to 6.5 and I have a digital ph meter in the soil that reads 6.5 in soil. I decided to check ph of runoff and it reads 4.5. Can anyone explain this?

Meassuring runoff in soil makes no sense, it means nothing. Do not worry about it. If you flush, you will leach the nutrients out of the soil.

That says there is composting going on in that pot. Drops the PH or so I am told. What does it mean? Nothing if things are going well, does raise questions dont it

Yeah, measuring run off in soil is like asking a dealer to tell you exactly what stuff they are selling, they might think its coke, they might suspect its Nep, but in the end it could just be Hexen. It just doesn't always work out well, but if your plants are growing without issues then you know deep inside that you need coke, WHERE IS THE FUCKING COCAIN MF???!!!! Sorry, it happens sometimes. Don't do coke, just mail it to....

Hey Growmie, Never checked my runoff but those two numbers should be closer than that ... Your ph pen could need calibration. Hopefully I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.

Yes, your soil is hot. Either flush or water with just pH'd water until it goes back to normal. I recommend doing a small flush to quicken the process.
