Is it Botrytis? treatment options

dubya
dubyastarted grow question 3 years ago
I started to see grayish spots (powdery) on the fan leaves; based on the internets, looks like it may be botrytis / powdery mildew. Any recommendations on a good (organic?) treatment for this early stage? I’ve carefully pruned any fan leaves that showed gray spots.

@dubya Powdery mildew fungicide: Use sulfur-containing organic fungicides as both preventive and treatment for existing infections. Trim or prune: Remove the affected leaves, stems, buds, fruit or vegetables from the plant and discard

Thanks, everyone. I only had one other girl going in this space, and she was basically ready to harvest, so I chopped. No signs of mold on that plant, so, fingers crossed. I’ll work on air flow in this space - it was only 35% humidity, but the temp is not well controlled (50-70 depending on outside temps). Looking forward to getting outdoors again in the spring!

@dubya i should have also added that prevention is better than a cure so in future allow lots of air movement around the plants because PM loves humid still conditions

2nd point use homogenized milk as it works best vs non fat. Can also lower the ratio to 5parts water to 1 part milk for a stronger solution. As your plants small try not to strip to many leaves off or it will not have any left to grow with. Keep them contained and spray twice daily then remove them after new growth takes over. Spray plants that not showing any signs as the spires from the mildew will travel in your grow tent. Cheers,

This is 100% white powdery Mildew. You can treat this with a milk wash. about 1 part milk 10 parts water. For more information regarding this google milk spray for powdery mildew. Best of Luck and Happy Growing!
