Will an air stone in reservoir of water under a fabric pot filled with soil contribute anything?

Soil based grow. 3 gallon fabric pot placed in a 5 gallon bucket, with holes drilled out the bottom. The 5 gallon has a reservoir below it. Can I throw an air stone in the reservoir w/ h20 and pump more air to increase oxygen or will the soil not benefit because it’s a hydro grow

You will not need to aerate your water unless your roots are in the water. I use drip style hydro with no airstones or chillers.

I planned on creating a wick system like Ed Rosenrhals simple system. A fabric pot in a 5 gallon bucket with holes drilled through the bottom so I could use wicks to draw water to the fabric bag once roots are well developed. However, it’s my first. The air stone was to oxygenate the roots coming in contact with the fabric pot. I will go soil only

Are you trying to wick the water into the fabric pot from the bubbling reservoir below? Or our want to submerge the fabric pot into a bucket filled with water and a air stone?? The two above options are also not an ideal setup for soil. Fabric pots don't need any drilling they are all self contained and regulating. You could add in an air stone into the water tank that you use to water the plants. Then water them normally via the top from a watering can or whatever you like to use. I wold not put the fabric grow pot in the water if its a soil based grow. It will cause root rot as the oxygenated liquid is not moving through the root zone just sitting their as its to dense. Out side the pot the water would be oxygenated but it wont move inside it. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I think I got it. Good Luck.
