I place the Hydrometer I have at the canopy level where all the action is taking place.
When I enter flower I put it between the colas that are forming so it registers the RH where the buds are vs on top.

What is a "Mars Hydro 6 inch..."???? A dildo? A dildo with a programmable LED?
A hydrometer is a humidity gauge, smart or not. It reads humidity and the humidity in your tent should not be changing much. It will go up and down depending on temperature but it's not something that needs smart monitoring. If you have proper air circulation inside your tent the location of the sensor isn't too important. Put it where it gets some airflow and is out of the way.
