if it contains a lot of acidifying things like peat, its not needed with some feeds.
If your using liquid nutrients it is need to some extent.
I grew with no ph pen and blindly adjusted my waters ph for one grow and got descent results for the time.
Best to have the tools to help you grow.

collected rainwater ph is high, is this okay?this plant is outside in a pot, so when i tested the ph of the collected rainwater, it was 7.36, but isnt this too high? how is rainwater so good then? (the water collects in a bucket. even some little frog fishes or something live in it xd.)

Normal seedling growth at day 5?I have posted a Day 5 picture to my diary - it seems to me the seedling is a slow grower, and the leaves are dark green. Does it seem like typical day 5 growth? I am wondering if the FFOF is a little too hot? A lot of other seedlings look to be a lighter shade of green.4y ago
