I’ve heard of some auto flowers never displaying amber trichomes and the plant will actually hermie due to being left to long waiting for them to change colour. The leaves around your bud will give you an indication when she’s close as they start to give up all their nutrients to the buds as well as the plant taking in less water and completely stop growing .

Many nutrients brands recommend to stop feeding when trichomes are 50% clear 50% white. At this point it may take 1 or 2 weeks until harvest time.
