m0useanswered grow question 3y ago I'm a fan of rest for the autos and unless everything is perfect and locked in, that resting period can help you avoid issues with the plants.
I do 18/6 all grow as it works for me. Its also cheaper to run lights for 18/6 vs 24/0.
Yield will be maximized on 24/0 but not in a significant way, could easily use some techniques and yield just as much.
there is a good form on autoflower.net about this very subject. some users say that no rest makes buds lesser quality but its all anecdotal.
Autos grow in an area where the summer days are aorund 16-18hrs, they evolved with some expectation of darkness.
I am looking into running 24/0 in the first few weeks of its life to maximize its potential from an early start but undecided on if it will be worth it.
Need some side by sides to see what the results say.
Try 24/0 if you want, if stuff is just weird or not turning out right, drop it down to 18/6 for a few days and see if it fixes it.
Good Luck!
