Lamp for houseplants?

Agricola_Borealis
Agricola_Borealisstarted grow question 3 years ago
My neighbours fiancé yesterday evening dropped by and gave me the lamp on the photograph, I have no users manual, but I understood it is for houseplants. I wonder if it is of any use and how I can use it. Whenever the sun shines I will put the plant in the sun of course

It's probably better than nothing at all but if you don't have any information on it other than "it's for houseplants" we can't tell you how effective it's going to be! If you use is on cloudy days, I would get it as close to your grow as possible (6"?) but monitor the top leaves to make sure they're not getting burned... at the SLIGHTEST hint of trouble, move it away a bit and continue monitoring... you should be able to figure out the sweet spot and use it accordingly... Nice neighbor, btw! Good luck!

Could use it as a supplemental light on overcast days and when its dark out but i believe they're quite low power so i doubt it'll make much of a difference after she starts to take off properly, I've only really seen people growing herbs and small flowers indoors with them.

it might do the job while the plant is small, but that's not proper light to use when the plant get bigger.
