If the extractor fan is not always on creating a negative pressure in the tent, the smells will seep out. Guessing your carbon filter is attached to that. If the carbon filter is in a high RH it's less effective and will resume working more efficiently in a lower RH. If the carbon filter is older it might be spent and time for a new one. Keep temps low to try and reduce the amount of smell coming off the plants if possible and point the fan at a wall vs directly at the drying buds may also help. I notice when my extractor+filter is not on and the mini tent fans are on, smells seep out into my living area. If I have the extractor fan on the lowest setting 1 outa 10 it keeps it from doing that. As long as your RH is saying between 55-62 and temps are around 15-21 it should dry nice and slow. Good Luck!

You did not say what type filter you are using? Is it a thin sheet style or a large canister? My filter works well if I run my fan at 4 or lower (1 is lowest, 10 highest). If I run it higher the carbon filter can't absorb fast enough to keep up with the airflow. To help I run a larger filter. So, I use a 6" filter with my 4" fan and it allows me to run the fan much higher and still absorb odors. Also, carbon filters do not last forever. With heavy use and high humidity they don't last as long and need more frequent replacement.
