That be a thrip alright.
I've had an ongoing relationship with thrips for years and have just got used to them being around. Forces me to spend more time with my plants hunting the little bastards down so it's kinda a good thing for me as I tend to neglect my plants otherwise.
Mites are a different story and really blow up in flower whereas I can no longer find any thrips on my 7 weeks in flowering plants. My last 3 grows have been like that where I hunt and kill thrips twice a day with a big magnifying glass tho the adults are easy enough to see you want to kill the babies before they mature enough to lay eggs. Seems they don't like flowering plants much and just seem to disappear half way thru.

Yes, kill them all!
If you don't they spread fast and other insects will come as well.
Get yourself a good spray like Canna cure :)

Do these random spots mean nutrient burn/deficiency, or is this normal?I have been feeding my plants 1/2 strength FF once weekly since week 3. The plants seem to be doing well. Dying leaves?? - Brown spots lower leavesThe cotyledon leaves are dying on one of my plants, but these brown spots have spread across lower leaves that were damaged by the shell. Phosphorus deficiency?I think this is a phosphorus deficiency. I thought it was because I slightly overwatered the plant. I gave the plant 1.5l water without nutrients then waited 4 days. Then 1.5l water with nutrients will also wait 4 days. The problem seems to get worse. Anyone any advise?Week 10
