Most folks do a schedule of water/feed/water/feed... how often you're going to give them, say, week 6 feeding depends on how often you're having to give them something! If they're really thirsty, you might be giving them week6 feed two or three times... if they're not, they might only get that week's feed once! All depends on your plants...

It depends on your soil mix too, if you already put nutrients on it or just inert material. But I think nutrients 3x a week may be too much, start slow and build your way up. Quantity is hard to be precise, but I like to have almost no run off and water only when the vase is lighter, depends on the size of the vase too. I also give nutrients once a week. Less is better than more
