Totaly depends on how you want to dry them.
You can:
1. hang them upside down on a dread, then you can leave it intact.
2. Put the buds in a dry net, then you should cut at least half off from bottom to upper branch.
I like to keep the ''upper bud'' intact because it has grown compacter to each other.
What i like to do myself in hang them up for like 3-6 days depending on how fast they dry, then put them in a net for another 4-7 days depending on how fast it dries in there.
Before putting it in the net i cut all the buds off my branches and if i have like airy big buds that didnt grow to each other, i cut them off as well.
Because when it is dry, thoose ''big'' buds are just smaller buds on a branch lol.
Keep in mind that big buds don't dry as fast as smaller ones. You really don't want to have super dry small buds and moist big buds.
Good luck :)
