When is the right time to cure (ferment) it? I dried 2 small buds for 7 days and then put them in a jar at 62%. On the 2nd day when burping, it smells a bit like hay. Is that normal? How do I determine the time for cut buds?

if the buds are overly moist you need to take them out of the jar.. keep an eye on that.
just trying to get moisture content at equilibrium for 62% rh and room temp give or take. deeper moisture sometimes has to be "sweated" out.. so you remove them when that moisture comes to the surface..
repeat process until there's some consistency in how the bud feels.
the smell will go away.. as long as you don't keep it sealed up in airtight container when its too wet.

It's nothing to worry about... the hay smell is the chlorophyl leaving the buds... the smell will come back.

Help!! Do I harvest?About 50% milky, 40% clear trichome heads. But in some minor spots, they are all dark brown/amber. Its supposed to be a Forbidden Cherry Automatic (Dutch Passion), but did not turn purple. I want it to be a bit more relaxing, indica-like. Week 11, outdoor balcony grow.
