LST doesn't make the buds denser - but it helps make the smaller buds larger by letting more light get to them... so you'll get a better harvest. It's definitely worth trying your hand at and you really can't make many mistakes! You want to work with stems that are pliable pulling them away from the main stem - You'll have to drill small holes in the top of your pot but then you can loop a strip of soft cloth around a stem, pull it down a bit and use the holes to tie the strip of cloth so it's holding the stem where you want it. If you accidentally break a stem (but at least SOME of it is still attached), just wrap a bit of tape around it to hold it together and it will be fine. If the stem breaks off completely, well, you've lost that stem and now you know how hard NOT to pull on them! :-D There are LST clips you can buy that will bend a stem 90-degrees from the main stem and I love them... but start off with something simple so you can get used to the idea... just cut up an old t-shirt into some strips about 1/4" wide, drills some holes (if you used fabric pots, you could just pin the cloth to them)... Try it, Andrekaja, you'll like it - and so will your plant as it will give you a much better harvest!
