@backatitagain1990, are you coming to the funeral you fool? Looks like another tortured and drowned victim. ✅ Only fool is the one that didn't say it like it is 😉

Hello Mudders89, I would recommend to always put seeds directly in the soil. Just make a small hole about 1 cm deep with a needle or a toothpick. And then drop the seed in there with pointy side down and cover with lose soil. Just spray the soil everyday around the seed lightly and just make sure it stays moist not wet. The plants will show thier leaves within 4 days, mostly even faster. Then stop spraying and give just a little water at the outside of the pot so that she needs to search for the water and let her roots grow. The first years I just searched on the internet how to do the germination and I tried all the methods. Like the wet coffeefilter inside a zipbag. The glass of water method, Paper towel inside zap bag. Paper towels between plates. Sponge pots with root stimulator. All these methods never gave me 100% germination rates. And the reason is simple, too much water. During your whole grow you need to make sure that you do NOT give to much water and do NOT give to much nutritions. Solving not enough is easy. Solving to much is not possible. Enjoy your grow!

Eggyones what looks wrong about it. Stop been an ass and just answer the Q you fool. Pal, there nothing wrong with what you did. 2-3 days. If you buried it more than 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch it might take a little longer. And you do not need to have your grow light on until she sprouts. Just keep an eye on it, as it'll stretch looking for light if you leave it to long on, but even that's no big deal as you can just bury it a little deeper on transplant.

Dont know why people prefer this method since its basically just a useless step with some risks... (Like damaging it while transplanting or drowning it right away and so on...) Only + is that you see if it germinated or not but if you invest in some quality seed that shouldn't be a concern anyway or atleast a rare one. Just put it in the Soil/Medium add some Water and let nature work its intended way. 😸 Also yeah just wait up to a week and you should see them sprout.

Keep the soil MOIST, not WET and you should see her pop in a day or two, maybe 3... I've had to wait 4 or 5 days in a couple of instances so just have patience! Good luck!

Sad to say it don't look well on paper towel picture, hard to see though. But maybe never 😪. Weren't you unlucky before too? Try dropping seed in glass of warm water for 6hrs then plant it. You'll see leaves in 2-3 days mostly. Paper towel method is like waterboarding torture for seeds and kills them easily, especially straight into wet substrate after. Don't get disheartened

At this point I plant then place a dome over it to keep it moist, and humid. I usually see a sprout in 2 to 7 days then.
