they will have a chemical taste to them, the ash left behind is the big clue however. well cured weed will burn leaving behind a light grey/white ash it will be airy, having no resistance to crushing and flatten to almost nothing,, while over fed uncured weed will leave behind a black ash with resistance to it. it will resist being crushed, and not burn properly past the first hit or two.
