Is the distance between the nodes of my 4 week old plant too short? Is short intermodal distance good or bad for scrog?

Looks like it's ready to be topped and defoliated. Get those big shade leaves out of the way of light for your future branches that are hidden behind them. Yeah, you could dim the light to make them stretch, for sure. Just make sure you monitor it. If the branches stretch too much, they won't be able to stand on their own, let alone hold buds.
