Trichomes are turning brown, but lot of hairs still white. What to do? Harvest or keeper?

Honestly I would harvest. The trichcomes are what tell you when the plant is ready and with them being brown you may have already gone way past good harvest time. The best time to harvest is when the trics are cloudy white to amber colored. I have learned the white hairs don't always matter as the plant depending on the strain will continue to spit them out

What week is she in now and what genetics? From the look of it, I'd wait another 2 weeks or so.

Harvest when there are 98-99% brown pistils/hairs, this is when your plants THC levels are at their highest. I have had plants with 70%+ honey coloured trichomes after only 4 weeks of flowering and about 6 weeks before harvest maturity, this is just a genetic thing, often common with Sativa or Sativa dominant strains, but can also show up in hybrids too.

Hi As GG said .. stick to what the Trichomes are saying, Pistols are what they are and only a guide line, Best of luck 🌱

I don't harvest until all the pistils have turned from white to brown/orange and recede back into the calyx, which swell up pretty good. Tricohmes are not a consistent identifier of maturity. They can brown from damage or other conditions and some plants never get brown.

If you've been able to get a closer look at the trichomes and they are turning amber, just ignore the pistils and you can harvest now! If you HAVEN'T been able to get a MUCH closer look at them than this photo indicates, grab yourself a cheap jewelers loupe and take a look... or at least zoom as much as you can with your camera and then zoom the resulting photo.... Good luck!
