High humidity

Hello. Even with a dehumidifier and a 24-hour extractor, the humidity is still above 70% and one of the plants is almost in the flowering period. Can I add expanded clay on top of the vase to see if it lowers the humidity or putting more perlite will solve this? Thanks.

Expanded clay is not going to do a whole helluva lot for you here... I don't have an extractor myself but when I can't control the humidity even with my dehumidifier, I simply open my tent! I know that folks will say "OH! THE LOSS OF LIGHT!" - but I'd rather lose a little bit of light than lose my plants to fungus... Get the fans working overtime, unzip the tent as much as needed to control the humidity... And good luck!

Almost any exhaust fan can overpower a dehumidifier inside the tent. The fan can suck in humid air much faster than the dehumidifier can dry the air. The dehumidifier will almost always loose that battle. So you either need to turn off or greatly reduce the airflow if you want the dehumidifier to have an affect. The best way I have found to control humidity is with a lung room. It is a small room where I condition the air. The grow tent is inside that room so the tent's ventilation fan draws in cool, dry air from my lung room. I use AC Infinity Cloudline fans with the smart controls so the fan turns on and off as needed to maintain the temperature and humidity I want inside the tent.

You are doing all you can. If you can't get the humidity down. Keep airflow through the plant is you best option. Don't aim directly at the plant. I usually will put one in the bottom of the tent angled up a little blowing at the opposite wall. The one mid way up perpendicular to the other fan blowing toward the opposite wall of the fan. And then my inline at the top. So it kind of creates a vortex. Sound keep the spots from landing and attaching to the plant.
